Who I Am and What I Do

Who I am:

 

Niamh Mullarkey, AFPA, is a Registered Acupuncturist in North Dublin. A Licensed Acupuncturist trained in Lansdowne College, Dublin.
 

I’m a caring and practical Acupuncture Therapist who address's the root causes and not just the symptoms of pains and ailments.  I take a deep interest in each individual case and endeavor to do my very best for each patient.  I am always looking to advance my skills and believe that continued learning is important for any good Acupuncturist.

Trained over a period of three years and obtained a Diploma in Traditional Acupuncture and Western Medicine.  I am a professional member of the AFPA which provides regulations of members ensuring high standards of treatment and strict codes of ethics and practice.  All members of the AFPA are approved by all health insurance companies, such as VHI, LAYA, AVIVA, GloHealth and HSF Health Plan.

What to Expect in a Treatment:

A detailed assessment is carried out on your first visit to the acupuncture clinic.  Past and current medical history, lifestyle, diet, mental and emotional factors are all part of the evaluation.

​

Along with very fine needles, gentle heat and cupping may also be used for certain conditions. 

​

Since each person is unique, the number of treatments required will vary. 

​

You may also be given advice on diet and lifestyle.

​

Electro-acupuncture, which has an excellent record of offering pain relief, is also sometimes used. 

​

All needles used in the Clinic are sterile, individually packaged, single-use and disposable.

​

The entire treatment is safeguarded by total confidentiality.
